Ninth Allianz Client Academy, a roaring success

Press Release | June 8, 2018 | Johannesburg

The ninth Allianz Client Academy took place at Vodacom Corporate Park in Midrand from April 12 to 13, 2018. Launched in 2014, the purpose of the academy is to share thought leadership and insight on risk management and insurance with risk managers to enable them to mitigate current, emerging and future risks.

The program began with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Africa CEO Thusang Mahlangu welcoming clients to the Vodacom headquarters in Midrand. A guided tour of the Vodacom Innovation Centre, Vodacom Technology Security Centre and the Vodacom Dome followed Thusang’s welcome. The group then travelled to Montecasino, where Allianz Risk Consulting’s Manfred Gollnitz took them through telecommunications risks and a drought consultation checklist.

The next morning, Thusang, Business Development Manager, Senzi Ndlozi, and Claims Manager, Heleen Fergusson, led clients through the Allianz Risk Barometer 2018 focusing on global, African and South Africa risks. The risk managers then enjoyed global renowned scenario planner, Clem Sunter’s discussion on Growing Foxes: How flags and scenario planning can be used to enhance risk management.
In celebration of our tenth anniversary, the next Academy will be hosted by Allianz in Munich, September 5-8, 2018. Contact us if you need more information
