Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) announced today that Thomas Keating has joined as an Executive Underwriter, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) for North America, reporting to Steve Tagert, Regional Environmental Practice Leader – North America, effective immediately.

As Executive Underwriter, Keating is responsible for global and domestic portfolio development, account management and relationship maintenance with both brokers and clients. EIL forms an integral part of AGCS’ Global Liability practice and focuses on delivering insurance solutions that enable clients to evaluate, mitigate and protect against risks pertaining to environmental damage.

Keating brings nearly two decades of experience in both environmental sciences and underwriting to his role at AGCS. He was previously an Executive Underwriter with Chubb since 2016 where he managed a book of business focused on Site Pollution, Contractors Pollution and Storage Tank Programs. Keating previously held positions at AIG and Kleinfelder Inc. He obtained a B.S from Pennsylvania State University.

“Although the environmental insurance marketplace continues to be stable, it is showing initial stages of a hardening market. Thomas’ strong field experience and technical know-how is the perfect combination needed to service our clients and expand our growing portfolio,” stated Tagert. “I look forward to working together to support our North American clients and develop AGCS’s business in the region.”
