Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), the specialty and industrial risk insurer of the Allianz Group, has announced the appointment of Thierry Colliot as Head of Aviation Underwriting for its Mediterranean Region (France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Maghreb).
He will take over this new role in addition to his current positions as Head of Aviation Underwriting France and Head of the global space business.
This appointment will take effect from 1 March 2016. Thierry Colliot takes over from Thomas Cahlik, who joins the global claims team of AGCS. He will report directly to Patrick Thiels, CEO of AGCS for the Mediterranean Region.
Thierry Colliot, 52, has headed the space business of AGCS since 2007 and aviation underwriting in France since 2010. He joined the Allianz Group (AGF) in 2001, as Deputy Head of Financial Insurance, having been an auditor with Deloitte and an account manager at the bank Entenial. Thierry Colliot has a degree in law and economics.
