Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty appoints Jack Jenner as new Dubai Country Manager

  • Willem van Wyk returns to Australia, where he was previously Head of Market Management, to take up the position of Country Manager for AGCS.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) has appointed Jack Jenner as Country Manager for its Dubai-based offices with effect from September 1, 2016, subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Jenner will lead the Dubai branch of AGCS’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Allianz Risk Transfer AG, which covers the Middle East region, providing facultative reinsurance for corporate, industrial and specialty risks.

Mr. Jenner will be based in Dubai and at a group level will report to Carsten Scheffel, Chief Regions & Markets Officer and Member of the Board of Management of AGCS. He replaces Willem van Wyk who has returned to Australia to lead AGCS’s business in the Pacific region. Mr. van Wyk was previously AGCS’s Head of Market Management for Australia and New Zealand from 2008 to 2015.

Jack Jenner has more than 15 years insurance experience; he started his career at AGCS as a Key Account Manager, based in London before moving to Hong Kong to become AGCS Head of Market Management for Hong Kong and Greater China. While in Hong Kong, Mr. Jenner was responsible for growth in Hong Kong, Greater China and Taiwan. He will lead AGCS’s business across the Middle East region including Property, Liability, Financial Lines, Engineering, Energy and Marine insurance.
