Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty launches innovative online platform to service small commercial business

Press Release | September 14, 2017 | New York

Capitalizing on today’s latest technology and social trends to  further enhance customer service, Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty® (AGCS) has introduced a new, innovative online distribution platform called AllianzGo. Available in the U.S. market, AllianzGo enables brokers to rate, quote, issue and service small commercial business accounts online. This platform also enables policyholders to view related documents, make payments as well as submit claims.

“Today’s commercial audience is tech-savvy and prefers to conduct research and transactions online. It is imperative for us to provide real-time and convenient products and services to meet these demands,” says Bill Scaldaferri, CEO and President of AGCS North America. “Functionality and personalization are critical for growth and we look forward to further championing solutions such as AllianzGo to define today’s evolving risk transfer landscape.”

With the introduction of AllianzGo, AGCS can issue policies online with immediate effect, as this new platform automates the previously paper-based manual underwriting process, which can take days post submission. Specifically, this digital solution serves the small business segment operating in the Business Owners Policy (BoP), Commercial Auto and Workers’ Compensation space in a wide range of industries, including retail, business services, offices, wholesale/distributors, commercial real estate, apartments and condominiums. AllianzGo is designed for businesses with up to $6 million in revenue per location and up to $10 million in total insured values per policy.

“We’re prioritizing customer needs by investing in the best technology and solutions available. With AllianzGo, standard submissions will not require underwriter referral, accelerating the entire issue process and ultimately saving our customers time and effort,” stated Atul Kulkarni, Head of Small Commercial for AGCS North America.  “Allianz - one of the largest P&C carriers in the world - is bringing its excellent claims service, competitive pricing and ease-of-doing-business approach to the small commercial segment, where we will continue to expand and capture market share.”

“We are launching our BoP product on AllianzGo in 10 states and additional states will be added over the next few months,” added Kulkarni.

Following the integration of the Fireman’s Fund Commercial Insurance business in 2015, AGCS expanded into the small and mid-corporate segments. Key programs include agribusiness, package & small business, casualty and property. Mid-Corporate policies generated 13 percent of AGCS global GWP in 2016 of €7.6 billion.
