Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Strengthens Aviation Team in North America

Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty® (AGCS) announced today that Scott Setzer has been hired as an Executive Underwriter for Aviation, and Adam Johnson as an Aviation Underwriter, effective immediately. Setzer will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia and Johnson in Denver; together they will focus on strengthening relationships with key brokers and clients, securing new business as well as providing general underwriting support to the overall Aviation business in North America.

Setzer joins with more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having held positions at AIG Aerospace, Global Aerospace and Travelers. Most recently, he was Vice President with Berkley Aviation. Setzer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation and a Master’s of Business Administration, both from Texas A&M University.

Johnson most recently was a Client Support Specialist for Transport Risk Management Inc. of Colorado, where he gained extensive insurance and risk management experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Before this, he was a Certified Flight Instructor for The University of North Dakota (UND) Flight Operations as well as a Student Services Representative with their Aerospace Foundation. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Aviation Management from UND in Grand Forks.
