Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty bolsters Programs Business in North America with key appointments

 Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS)  strengthened its North American Programs team with the recent appointments of  Dogan Kaleli as Head of Programs Business Practice and Dan Larkin as Northeast Zone Midcorp Program Director, both effective immediately.

AGCS’ Programs' business provides specialized support for groups of similar clients seeking differentiated products and services. In the United States, programs business accounts for 15 percent of the commercial property and casualty market, worth more than $40 billion. With an annual growth of 10 percent, AGCS is well positioned to use its 50 plus years of experience in this specialized space to serve a growing clientele.

Both Kaleli and Larkin will be based in New York. Kaleli will report directly to Markovina, while Larkin will report to the Head of MidCorp Division in the Northeast Zone, Todd Hendershot.

Kaleli joined AGCS as the Head of Risk Management in 2013 and is responsible for implementing the department’s strategic priorities.  Prior to this, he was at Allianz Seguros in Brazil, where he was Head of Underwriting for Property MidCorp, Aviation and International Programs. He also held the roles of Head of Risk Management and Risk Specialist in Brazil. Kaleli began his career at Allianz Sigorta in Turkey as a Property Underwriter.

Larkin joins Allianz from PartnerRe, where he spent 18 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Head of Programs. In this role, which he held since 2014, he managed a $125 million book of business. Prior to this, Larkin served as Senior Property Underwriter for AXA Reinsurance, and began his career at Metropolitan Reinsurance as a Treaty Accountant.
